What you’ll be doing

NPS MedicineWise has established an excellent reputation for our work in programs, products and services to improve the quality use of medicines and medical tests with the ultimate goal of achieving better health outcomes for all Australians.

This role is responsible for the management, development and implementation of methods for the analysis of complex data for multiple projects within tight timeframe and for managing a small team of Epidemiologists and related data scientists to deliver reports to internal and external clients.

What you will need

  • Management skills and demonstrated capability to develop staff
  • Sound understanding of planning, budgeting and resource allocation processes
  • Demonstrated relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to critically analyse situations and recommend solutions
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications (eg epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, public health)
  • Excellent understanding of pharmaco-epidemiological and bio-statistical analysis methods
  • Experience with general practice data, its limitations, and the techniques to clean and interpret the data
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient using SAS analytical software
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Ability to independently solve problems and manage personal work priorities
  • Confident presentation skills and ability to present complex information in a concise and meaningful manner
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication
  • A safe home office set up
