Northern Beaches Council was created in 2016 through the three councils of Manly, Pittwater and Warringah coming together to deliver the highest quality services to the community. Exciting new infrastructure projects and community programs have quickly demonstrated the positive impact the new council is having.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Coastal Environment Centre Education Coordinator, the role of the CEC – Casuals is to deliver professional, high-quality, curriculum-linked, environmental education via school excursions and incursions. The role is also required to deliver professional, friendly and high-quality environmental education and awareness for children and the community through community events.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for high-quality program delivery
- Ability to read a group and present information at a relevant level and in an engaging way
- Lead all school excursions, field trips, incursions and community events in a responsible and professional manner
- Consistently deliver, high quality, timely, curriculum-linked, environmental activities and programs to schools and the community
- Complete all field trip reports and WH&S documentation as required
- Take care of and maintain in good order all CEC field equipment and resources
- Undertake tasks as allocated by Senior Education Officer
- Ensure safety of all customers
- Report any safety hazards observed while on location
- Undertake continued knowledge and professional development
- Ongoing commitment to continually improve programs offered
