This position works closely with our Participant Engagement Coordinators and involves high level problem solving, client intake and vacancy management.

Position Overview

The Vacancy & Engagement Coordinator will support Nulsen residents transitioning into SDA accommodation and engage with stakeholders to ensure quality service for Nulsen residents and their families.

Responsibilities: 

  • Planning and preparation for residents transitioning into SDA accommodation.
  • Ensures all verbal and written communication to internal and external stakeholders is delivered in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Engaging with current and prospective clients to determine compatibility and ensure suitability for Nulsen services. 
  • Supporting residents throughout the NDIS planning process and assisting with funding applications.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure positive funding outcomes for Nulsen residents.
  • Working collaboratively within a team environment and adding to a positive team culture. 
  • Strong knowledge of the rights of people with disabilities; the concepts of social role valorisation, inclusions and quality of life; and National Standards for Disability Services. 
  • A willingness to work outside of office hours as required.

What you need:

  • Knowledge of the NDIS, Supported Independent Living and Specialist Disability Accommodation. 
  • Experience writing reports and compiling funding applications for NDIS. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop meaningful connections with participants and their families. 
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines efficiently. 
  • High-level problem-solving skills and the ability to plan and strategise toward desired outcomes.
  • Experience with Lumary, TRIM and PRODA desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

Other employment requirements

  • Must hold Australian citizenship or be a permanent resident of Australia.
  • Proficient in the use of technology including email, the internet and Microsoft Office.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check
