This is an exciting opportunity to assist the Shop Manager in leading a passionate and committed team of casual staff and volunteers who have people at the heart of everything they do in a motivating, ethical, professional, community focused retail environment.
The role is suitable for someone who has excellent customer service skills who wants to use these skills to give back to their community. The role has a strong focus on supporting the Shop Manager to increase profitability by driving sales whilst efficiently managing costs, inventory, merchandising, sales and customer service.
In addition you will assist the manager by implementing store initiatives including the retail operations strategy and the volunteer engagement strategy.
This position is much more than a traditional retail assistant manager role. You will be working closely with the shop network and national office to generate and implement new and exciting strategies which will lead to sustained sales growth and brand awareness.
In addition to driving sales and brand growth, the role also has a strong focus on increasing awareness and educating the Australian public about ethical trade, as well as promoting the wider work of Oxfam Australia.
Appointment to this position will require a satisfactory clearance of a police check.
