MiLife-Victoria provides supports that enable people living with disability to be self-directed and to exercise choice and control in their lives. We are currently seeking a casual (relief) driver to support our client to get to and from our Learning Centres Monday to Friday. The hours are worked as a split shift and the start and end times depend on the route allocated, but will be approximately:

  • Morning shift - 7am to 9am
  • Afternoon shift - 3pm to 5pm

Our Learning Centres are located in Frankston, Cranbourne and Langwarrin and all routes and start and finish from one of these locations.

The key role of the driver involves the safe transportation of clients with physical and intellectual disabilities including those with complex support needs from their home to our Learning Centres each morning and afternoon. The key accountabilities for the role include:

  • To be reliable, supportive and a good communicator;
  • Understanding the needs of your clients and working to MiLife-Victoria policies and procedures;
  • Completing the required paperwork and documentation to ensure all aspects of the service is correctly recorded;
  • Completing all tasks on time and in a manner that assists others to meet their reporting requirements; and
  • Maintaining a safe and effective workplace, ensuring all defects and/or accidents are reported immediately and daily safety checks are completed.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Victorian Drivers’ License – Manual Preferable
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Experience in working with people with disability highly desirable
  • Heavy Rigid vehicle licence desirable
  • Defensive Driving desirable
