About the role

A typical day as a fundraiser at Public Outreach involves connecting with people from all walks of life, engaging in important conversations about the environment, animal activism and humanitarian issues, as well as socialising with the team.

Work where you want (remote from home or in our CBD call centre). Work when you want and earn a great hourly wage whilst doing so. If you chose to come in to our buzzin' hub we encourage you to just be yourself and wear what you want. There’s always music playing, constant support and incentives to spice things up! How’s that?!

Team

We’re a chatty bunch who (like you) absolutely love to help people but without the physical strain. We love the satisfaction of working hard for charity whilst still striking a great work/life balance. Currently our team consists of amazing people from all walks of life, from backpackers to nurses, musicians and parents working part time to hospitality legends. If you like, there are plenty of opportunities to get together for a beer or two.

Hours

  • Design your own work week Monday to Friday (Part Time / Full Time)
  • 4 - 8hr shifts available
  • Hours between 10am - 6pm
  • Minimum 20hrs per week required

Specifics

  • 1 week paid training (first week in office full-time)
  • Optional work from home
  • $28.08 ph + Uncapped cash bonuses
  • Occasional Saturday shifts (Optional)
  • Progression opportunities

You have:

  • Strong conversation and communication skills
  • A positive mindset and willingness to learn
  • Resilience and ability to overcome rejection
  • Passion for charitable causes
  • Customer service / sales / fundraising experience (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Ability to travel into the office for first week training
