Peckys has vacancies for part time Disability Support workers at our Day Program Sites. Positions vary in hours available.

About Us:

Peckys has been in the Blacktown LGA for over 40 years. We are an approved NDIS Disability Service Provider offering quality care and support to our clients through our Day Services.

Currently, with our continued growth, we have opportunities in our Day Service Programs for dedicated and experienced Support Workers to join our Team. The successful applicants will need to be able offer high quality supports to our clients through in house activities, community access and also attending to clients personal care needs. We are wanting applicants who will provide a positive, person centred approach to our clients while supporting then to reach their potential.

Essential Criteria:

• Experience with and a passion for working with people who have disabilities
• Relevant disability industry experience and/or tertiary qualifications i.e. Certificate 111 in Individual Support/Community Service or equivalent
• Ability to support clients in community engagement and skill development
• Able to work in a Team environment as well as ability to work independently with a client one on one
• Able to work with clients who have behavioural issues
• Current NSW Drivers License
• Confidence in driving Hi-Ace van
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with a variety of clients
• Current First Aid certificate
• Understanding of WHS issues and risk management
