What You Will Be Doing

This role supports the development and expansion of the Frankston Social Enterprise Hub in order to support social enterprises in Southern Metropolitan region of Melbourne. The role is responsible for the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of activities at the Hub. The Project Manager will raise the profile of the Frankston Social Enterprise Hub and social enterprises within the area.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:

Essential Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor degree in business, management, community development or related field of study and/or relevant experience in project management.
  • Management of projects in a not for profit settings with a minimum of two years’ experience.
  • A deep understanding of social enterprise and the social enterprise ecosystem in Victoria and beyond.
  • Knowledge and understanding of social enterprise capacity building strategies.
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation, collaboration and consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and capacity building skills.
  • Business and event planning skills.
  • Experience in either grant writing, proposal writing or in writing business cases.
  • Familiarity with the community sector and social enterprise models.
  • Current Victorian drivers licence.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  • Familiarity with the social enterprise sector in the Frankston Mornington Peninsula.
  • Post graduate qualifications in business, community development.
  • Communication and marketing skills.
