About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Web Developer to help Planet Ark make a real impact with its environmental campaigns. Under the guidance of the CIO, the successful applicant will use their skills in responsive web design to develop fun and exciting ways to help promote our environmental programs. The focus is to create great user experiences across the multiple websites and online systems.

This is a full-timerole based in our city office in Sydney's Haymarket - a convenient location close to Central, shops and right across from Belmore Park. We also offer flexible working arrangements including work from home, something we’ve proudly encouraged way before 2020. The salary is $75000 per annum plus super and additional benefits.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA:

1. Diploma or Degree in IT related field or relevant experience
2. Passion for design and user experience
3. Industry experience in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, jQuery and front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap
4. Industry experience with NodeJS or other JavaScript frameworks
5. Experience in backend API integrations
6. Good knowledge of cloud services (Azure/AWS)
7. Strong database experience - SQL, table creation and modification
8. Competency with Macs and Mac applications
9. Office 365 Admin experience
10. Ability to work autonomously or within a team
11. High attention to detail and a focus on quality
12. A strong alignment with Planet Ark’s mission and values

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

• Experience with headless CMS such as Contentful
• Experience with data reporting/visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
• Experience with ColdFusion or PHP
