Duties/Abilities

Our Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services team based out of the Ingham / Ripple Creek QPWS Ranger base are seeking a OO5 Ranger to assist the team with focus on the protection and maintenance of the Mt Fox, Wallaman Falls, Oak Hills & Henrieta sections of Girringun National Park. 

Much of the work program for the Rangers across our base involve:

  • The maintenance and construction of fence lines
  • Road and track maintenance
  • Compliance activities associated with visitors on park and the maintenance of visitor facilities and infrastructure
  • Weed & pest control management, 
  • Control burning and wildfire response 

You'll form invaluable professional relationships with Traditional Owners, various commonwealth and state agencies and stakeholders. As a successful Ranger working with us, you will have experience with at least 4 of the following:

  • Cattle management
  • Civil Construction experience
  • Building and maintenance experience
  • Natural resource management associated with weed and pest control
  • Broadscale landscape fire management
  • Leadership experience developing others
  • Working collaboratively with Traditional Owner stakeholders
