We are currently seeking applications for the role of Part-time (22.5 hours per week) Community Educator - Gambling Help Service (GHS) to work at our Logan Central venue.
The purpose of the Gambling Help Service - Community Educator role is to promote greater public awareness about the social issues associated with problem gambling through the provision of information and education to specific target groups and within community.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
To be successful in this position, you will have relevant undergraduate qualifications in behavioural science, psychology, counselling or social work, paired with experience working therapeutically with addiction, specifically gambling, in a variety of settings (e.g. individuals, couples, families and groups). In addition, you will have knowledge of and the ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations relating to relationships counselling.
The salary being offered is circa $54,701 to $77,042 per annum (pro rata for part-time), to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation and generous salary packaging options where eligible which will significantly increase the value of take-home pay. Other attractive benefits are available including additional annual leave over the Christmas period, annual leave loading and study leave.
