This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced case manager to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Manager Gippsland, this role is formally known as the Therapeutic Case Manager i-Connect position. i-Connect is a Family Mental Health Support Service funded out of the Federal Government’s Targeted Community Care (Mental Health) Program. It is an Early Intervention program offering support for children and young people 0-18yrs in a situation where mental health risk factors are emerging. The primary focus of this role will be working with children, young people and families in both long term and short-term interventions, which are practical, facilitative, and supportive. The case manager will also be expected to work closely with schools to support young people achieve their identified goals, in particular, primary school students impacted by the 2019/20 bushfires.

The successful candidate will be offered a casual position. The role is located at our Bairnsdale centre, with the expectation for work to be carried out across primary schools within the East Gippsland area with a group work delivery focus.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant vocational qualifications.
  • Significant experience in working with children, young people and families in a setting relevant to the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families from a child-centred and strength-based perspective.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
