Rocky Bay

At Rocky Bay we strive to empower the lives of people living with disability. We offer choice and independence to customers of all ages through a vast array of services, equipment and facilities that are tailored to them and their families. This is why more and more people are choosing Rocky Bay.

We are looking for people who want to work with our customers at our 25 bed residential home and our Independent Living Units, both located in our beautiful Mosman Park campus. The one, two and four bedroom units, sharing a secured garden, accommodate 17 people living independently supported by our team of highly trained staff.

These permanent roles can be either part time or full time. Fixed shifts are available from Monday to Sunday from:

  • 7am to 3pm
  • 3pm to 11pm

There are multiple rosters available to suit your lifestyle, please refer to the roster form attached to the advert on Rocky Bay’s online careers page.

What’s involved?

Our residential customers vary in age from 30 to 80 and like you, they are wonderfully unique. They want to be part of society and live life to the fullest. This is where you come in!  Supporting their physical and emotional needs, you will be instrumental in helping them maintain their participation in the home and in the community.  These needs may be complex and testing at times but will provide you with new experiences and life skills in a role that is ultimately very rewarding.

It is important to our customers (and us!), that you are reliable, can have fun and enjoy fostering professional relationships. You will be resilient, willing to learn and be able to think on your feet.

There is no Support Worker stereotype. Your uniqueness makes you a good candidate for this role. You may have experience in disability, aged care or mental health and while this may be preferred, it is not a requirement. It is more important that you share our passion for support work and that it is reflected in the energy and enthusiasm you bring to the role. You will use common sense yet be creative in finding solutions and be open to working with people with complex disabilities. Don’t worry, you will have comprehensive on-the-job training and always have peers and supervisors on hand to support you.

You will need:

  • A current WA driver’s license
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Proof of current Influenza and COVID 19 vaccinations (or be willing to obtain)
  • Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check (or be willing to obtain)
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Two contactable work (supervisory) references

What’s in it for you?

We provide competitive rates based on experience (standard superannuation and penalties apply), along with generous salary packaging options, annual leave and purchased leave. Our rosters have different shifts and are often able to suit your availability and lifestyle.

As an employee at Rocky Bay, you will experience our unique, inclusive culture from day one. We pride ourselves on being loyal, committed and are intrinsically driven to make a positive difference in people’s lives. We can’t wait to welcome you!
