The opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team at Silver Chain Group. We are currently looking for an experienced Injury Management Advisor to join our team in a permanent role, with consideration for both part time and full-time working arrangements being based in Osborne Park.

Key responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for the co-ordination of complex claims and actively seek resolutions in compliance with workers compensation legislation. In this fast paced and busy environment, you will manage all return to work and injury management for injured employees. This includes fitness for work, early intervention and workers’ compensation claims across allocated jurisdictions nationally.

About you

The ideal candidate for this role is enthusiastic, influential and has excellent interpersonal skills. You will also meet the following criteria:

  • An allied health or health qualification with an understanding of musculoskeletal injuries and related rehabilitation, with experience working in similar position
  • Specialised knowledge of worker’s compensation, injury management and health & safety legislation practices and processes.
  • Provide high level decision making, conflict resolution and problem-solving in a case management environment
  • Participate in claims reviews with the nominal insurers to manage and monitor individual claims costs to minimise impact on premium
  • Negotiation and influencing skills vital to providing support and advice to business leaders
  • Experience with Solv Injury or similar injury management software desirable
  • Self-starter- ability to work autonomously
  • Work closely with internal teams such as HR, HSE, Legal and ER
  • Partnership with external stakeholders such as insurers, brokers, medical/ health providers
