RSPCA Victoria is a non-government, community-based, not-for-profit organisation whose vision is ‘ending cruelty to all animals’. We are Victoria’s best-known and most respected animal welfare organisation.
Our organisation’s purpose is to work with the community to achieve outstanding animal welfare through education, advocacy, and animal care and protection. RSPCA Victoria’s values - clarity and accountability, respect and consideration, and expertise and collaboration - set clear expectations for all our staff and volunteers.
Following a recent restructure of the People & Infrastructure team, we are currently recruiting a Volunteer Program Manager to join our team at RSPCA Victoria.
Reporting to the Head of People & Infrastructure, the Volunteer Program Manager will play an integral role in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen and grow our volunteer program so that we are able to achieve our vision of ending cruelty to all animals.
The Volunteer Program Manager will be a strong advocate for volunteers and bring the “voice of the volunteer” into every conversation and decision-making process.
We are looking for someone that has extensive experience leading and transforming volunteer programs, with a solid understanding of best practice and what it takes to be an organisation of choice for people who wish to volunteer their time.
This role will be part time (equivalent to 4 days per week) and will be required to work in our office at Burwood East 3 days per week, with the ability to work from home 1 day per week. Regular travel to other Animal Care and Op Shop sites throughout Victoria is required.
