We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a SIL House Manager.

About the role

Reporting to the General Manager Outreach, the SIL House Manager ensures the ongoing supervision and performance of the SIL workforce and programs to meet the service and quality requirements across the Supported Independent Living (SIL) program.

Your other main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure high quality, values-aligned accommodation services are delivered that reflect client’s individual needs and goals
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their representatives, internal and external stakeholders, key personnel within the NDIS and other government agencies
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to SIL Teams that promote a respectful work environment, maintain client focus, model RW values and ensure appropriate communication and positive team interactions
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational and administrative systems and procedures to support the effective management and monitoring of high-quality service delivery
  • Undertake regular reviews and audits of SIL services to ensure high quality and values aligned service delivery
  • Ensure feedback from clients is sought and acted upon to improve service provision and recommend and implement changes to services as appropriate

This role is full time.

About you

You will possess the following key attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline such as social sciences or human services
  • A minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience in a similar management role
  • Previous management of an accommodation service is desirable
  • An in depth understanding of contemporary mental health issues and working with the recovery process.
  • Superior interpersonal and communications skills, including highly developed written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families and key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring and coaching skills, with the ability to build a shared understanding of, and commitment to RW strategy, vision and values and culture
  • Cultural competency and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A personal alignment with the values of Richmond Wellbeing.
