The Role

CLSR Support Workers will be expected to deliver intensive psychosocial supports for mental health including: development of holistic, integrated support plans and provision of support coordination; psychosocial interventions to promote behaviour modification; coordination of assistance with daily living skills; support for engagement with social and health service systems; support with access to employment and training and community integration. CLSR Support Workers will support the work of casual Bi-cultural Assistant Support Workers. 

The successful applicant will be part of a multicultural and multi-disciplinary team.

Skills and Qualifications Required

You will have qualifications in Mental Health, Social Work, Social Welfare or other relevant social science or behavioural disciplines. A demonstrated understanding of mental health issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers and the effects of torture on individuals. 

Knowledge of cultures and health needs of their community, extensive experience in case management; planning and facilitating and excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

You will be a highly motivated person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work  within a multicultural and multidisciplinary team setting.

Work Type: Full Time – One year contract (continuation subject to ongoing funding)

Location: Liverpool

Salary: Health Education Officer or other relevant classification based on qualifications, experience and requirements of the role. A generous salary packaging scheme is also offered to reduce the taxable income and increase the take home pay.
