SVA is a leader in the Australian impacting investing market and was awarded Impact Investing Asset Manager of the Year at the 2018 Impact Investing Summit Conference. The team’s mandate is domestic and covers unlisted debt, private equity, real assets and infrastructure investments. SVA has a broad and established investor base, ranging from high net worth’s, trusts and foundations and large superannuation funds. SVA launched Australia’s first social impact bond in 2013 and now manages five social impact bonds. In addition to the development of social impact bonds and funds management, SVA offers structuring and advisory services to its clients in order to develop and bring impact investment products to the market.
We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an Analyst to play an important role in our Impact Investing team in an exciting growth phase of the business. Working collaboratively with the Impact Investing team’s Directors and Managers, the primary purpose of this newly created role is to identify and evaluate transactions including, market and sector analysis, building financial models, undertaking due diligence and assisting with documenting transactions. This role will have a particular focus on supporting SVA’s Social Impact Bonds (SIB) and outcomes contracting practice. In this capacity, the Analyst will develop a deep understanding of SVA’s existing SIBs and our partners, including service delivery organisations, governments and investors. In addition, the Analyst will support the development of new projects, including the development of appropriate measurement and payment structures and other commercial terms. With exposure to a wide variety of opportunities and industries, this role is a unique opportunity to join a market leading team that is shaping the social impact investing landscape.
This stimulating opportunity will best suit a self-motivated individual with a proven ability to ensure key tasks and requirements are taken through to completion. We are seeking some previous experience working in financial services, accounting or law combined with a base of knowledge funds management processes and an understanding of the legal framework for transactions. To be successful in this role you will have strong developed credit and financial analysis skills, be capable of prioritising and meeting deadlines and a willing learner able to work across a breadth of activity. This unique role provides exposure to how Impact Investing can generate both a financial and demonstrable social returns for investors.
