Every day of the year, Sacred Heart Mission assist hundreds of people who are experiencing homelessness or living in poverty to find shelter, food, care and support. We are in this for the long haul - we are committed to making a sustainable difference in people’s lives. Everyone is welcome at our table.
Sacred Heart Mission consists of a number of volunteer supported programs. The volunteers office ensures that the volunteer journey from recruitment to induction, compliance, rostering, conflict management and exit are supported with various admin tasks to help ensure it all runs smoothly.
A typical day may involve answering incoming enquiries via phone and email from donors, clients or volunteers. Updating various databases with accurate information and following up on compliance. Other tasks may include running reports, rostering volunteers, filing, sorting and preparing for various upcoming meetings and presentations. Updating the website as well as external sites with current information.
To work efficiently you’ll be constantly building relationships with program staff, volunteers and community members to ensure a smooth running of the respective volunteer program
