The Salt Foundation is looking to appoint three new volunteer Board Directors.

The Salt Foundation is a registered NDIS provider delivering integral support services to people living with disabilities throughout Victoria. The Foundation is also a registered Charity which has a strong benevolence focus locally and internationally.

The new Board Directors will play an integral role in overseeing the development and implementation of a new strategic plan which supports further growth.

The new board members will demonstrate skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Marketing
  • Legal
  • Governance
  • Business Growth and Leadership
  • Human Resources

About the Salt Foundation:

Established in 2011, the Salt Foundation has a proud history of providing programs that promote physical, social, and mental well-being for individuals, families, and communities. As a not-for-profit charity all our proceeds go back into the community.

Over the last 10 years the Salt Foundation has donated proceeds to support those who are most valuable and disadvantaged in our community. This has seen the establishment of food relief programs in Melbourne, an orphanage in India, social enterprise for women and children in Cambodia and many more programs both locally and abroad. The Salt Foundation has a proud history of hosting community dinners that brings people together in sharing a meal. The Salt Foundation has office locations in Eltham, and Frankston with an additional two ‘drop-in’ houses for participants to come.

Salt was established to be the aroma of Christ and to advance the same values and philosophies to those who are looking for peace and belonging. Salt is also a place where your faith, and skills are utilised to help those less fortunate achieve their God-given gifts and potential.

About you:

  • Awareness of governance requirements of Board members
  • Ability to attend meetings after business hours and on weekends when required.
  • Interested in community development, disability support and advocacy, community education or other fields relevant to Salt’s work.
  • Able to dedicate significant time and energy to actively engage with the reading materials and meetings.
  • Able to think strategically and analytically about issues.
  • Connected to your formal and informal Christian networks.
  • Infectious in your passions and convictions
  • Keen to engage others in the mission of Salt.
  • You will share in strong Christian values.
