Samarinda Ashburton Aged Services (SAAS) is a long established provider of integrated residential and community care support services. Our vision is that every older local remains connected, engaged and valued in our community.
We are seeking an experienced admin assistant with rostering management experience that's been gained in the health or aged care industry.
You will have superior communication skills and use them to work collaboratively with colleagues, are comfortable managing multiple tasks and have the ability to re-priortise tasks throughout the day. In addition you will be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs and be a quick adopter of technology to enable the provision of seamless administration services.
Above all, you must be reliable, dependable and have a 'can-do' attitude.
The role is responsible for:
- Coordinating staff rostering for the organisation including rolling out the roster and coordinating the replacement of planned and unplanned leave
- Provide a range of administrative services related to organisational recruitment and appointment, post-employment documentation and management of the residential services education calendar.
- Relieve the Receptionist for lunch and periods of leave to provide reception services to residents, family, visitors and the public.
- Filing and archiving of resident and other documents
- Providing assistance and support for events
- Providing a range of general administrative services to meet the needs of the business
To be successful in this role you will have:
- At least 3 years’ experience providing administration assistance to a group of managers preferably in healthcare/aged care
- Experience managing a staff rostering systems (Time Target experience highly desirable)
- Well-developed customer service excellence skills to build rapport and sustain effective relationships with a focus on service user satisfaction.
- Demonstrated empathy, warmth, interest and appreciation of the aged
- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt your approach and work to changes in the environment
- High level of team working skills to cooperate with team members and work collaboratively
- Excellent verbal communication to assesses and provide appropriately tailored information and explanations to a diverse range of groups
- Demonstrated self-motivation, initiative, resilience and problem solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
