Where you come in:

In this full-time, 6-month fixed-term position based in our Carlton* Head Office, you will be responsible for the architecture of all applications for Save the Children Australia. This will include all architecture disciplines and will establish architecture governance, principles, and tools to develop technical solutions that are fit-for-purpose and align to the target state. Initially your focus will be on understanding and documenting the current landscape, with a view to develop a target-state architecture roadmap. You will play a pivotal role within our Technology Team and report to our Chief Information Officer.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing technical leadership and leading discussion to ensure the appropriate solutions are tabled, planned, and implemented,
  • Creating and maintaining architecture artefacts for both the current and the future-state,
  • Driving solution architecture and design across our application landscape, from ERP applications through to Digital and Data platforms,
  • Developing a system health catalogue to better understand technical debt and work with delivery teams to prioritise appropriately,
  • Along with the CIO, providing technical analysis and advice to senior stakeholders, and
  • Actively participating in all architecture domains (e.g., application, data, digital, integration, infrastructure, enterprise, and security).

Does this sound like you?

You have a deep expertise in all manner of architecture disciplines and are known as a Change Agent, able to deliver on significant architecture objectives. An impressive communicator, you have a knack for articulating complex technical problems, and solutions, to a non-technical audience and in doing so, garner support for innovative, technology-lead change.

This role requires:

  • Significant, expert experience in a wide array of technologies,
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills,
  • Strong adaptability and capacity to delivery through change,
  • A hands-on approach to solution architecture with an ability to influence and educate stakeholders appropriately, and an
  • Ability to achieve architecture objectives and create systematic architecture change.
