The Team

The Role

We have a unique opportunity available within our expert Public Liability and Social Justice practice as the first point of contact of all new enquiries, as a Public Liability and Social Justice Consultant, on a 12-month FTC basis. We are open to candidates seeking part-time work and are looking for hours equivalent of three days per week.

You may have a background in public liability within the legal or insurance industry, or have just finished your law degree; put simply, we are looking for an advocate to help right wrongs for our deserving clients.

The Responsibilities

In this unique, autonomous role, you'll be:

  • Facilitating a proactive, professional service to produce a positive client experience for all new clients.
  • Formally qualified with the minimum undergraduate qualification in Law
  • Partnering with our contact centre team to identify opportunities nationally and manage enquiries to resolution
  • Managing client enquiries, interviews, and post-interview activities, including drawing initial chronologies and liability research
  • Initiating and nurturing robust, quality relationships with clients and assisting them to gain access to local supports
  • Preparing medical and/or legal documents and general correspondence
  • Working closely with our Public Liability and Social Justice team members to ensure we are delivering excellent client care
  • When new client demands slows performing legal research for the team on novel points as required.

The Skills

  • Proven experience working on Public Liability, PI or Social Justice matters in a Paralegal/Clerk/Solicitor capacity
  • Education within law is desired
  • Exceptional communication skills and client-focused organisational skills
  • Tenacity for complex problem-solving, and a natural curiosity to listen to clients to determine the right pathway to assistance
  • High level of responsiveness to client needs and follow up on legal and administrative processes
  • Strong team orientation
