The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Process Analyst to join our family. Reporting to the Digitisation Program Manager and working alongside dedicated, energised, and passionate team members, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating business process analysis with stakeholders across various initiatives, documenting current and/or future state processes and their attributes, per the defined process architecture framework and modelling standards, to enable value and risk analysis efforts.

About our role

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop an understanding of The Smith Family’s current process landscape, its full ecosystem and ways to optimise and improve
  • Build process management capability and maturity in the organisation by applying BPM practices to optimise customer outcomes and risk controls
  • Lead and facilitate business process analysis with stakeholders across various initiatives, documenting current and/or future state processes and their attributes, per the defined process architecture framework and modelling standards, to enable value and risk analysis efforts
  • Perform diagnostics on business processes to identify risks, gaps and opportunities for improvement and create prioritised roadmaps for implementation

About you

As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst and at least 2 years as a Process Analyst
  • Experience in business process reengineering and/or redesign
  • Experience leading process improvement or transformation projects
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of process improvement methods and techniques, including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen
  • Has a customer centric mindset in solving challenging business problems and driving process excellence
  • Must have exceptional communication and facilitation skills
