Sowilo Community High School is a vibrant non-government independent CARE school located in Kelmscott. We offer a fantastic unique environment for staff and for students studying years 7-12. As the School Chaplain, you must have:
- Experience working with Youth At Risk
- Initiative and passion for inspiring students to reengage
- Endorsement by a religious authority or Formal ordination or commissioning by a recognized religious institution
- Current Working With Children Check / Australian Federal Police check
You will have proven experience and will:
- Guidance on religious, values and ethical matters
- Understanding, respect and acceptance of all persons regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious affiliation, sexual orientation and gender identity
- Comfort and support to all students and staff beliefs
- Assistance to social worker and youth worker with welfare/community services such as wilderness treks and Outreach program
- Offer spiritual and emotional support in cases of bereavement, family breakdown or other crisis and loss situations
- Comply with National School Chaplaincy Program Code of Conduct
- Assist school with development and implementation of school chaplaincy program
