About the role
The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to work closely alongside Non-Government Organisations and NT Government agencies in a range of dynamic fields across the social support sector.
We are seeking candidates with a high level of professionalism, teamwork and enthusiasm to make a contribution over an extended period of time. The role will provide the opportunity for regular travel to regional centres and remote communities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Partnerships
- Proactively engage service provider partners on a regular basis.
- Visit Police stations and other NTG agencies on a regular basis (including regional and remote visits) to gather feedback and to strengthen the culture of referral making.
- Train and support government and non-government stakeholders.
- Using knowledge of regional issues to identify and develop relationships with potential service provider partners.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Annual Work Plans.
Referral Management
- Review and assess new referrals to ensure they are appropriately linked with all relevant information.
- Follow up service providers with outstanding referrals.
- Review and reassign returned referrals to appropriate services.
- Maintain accurate records of service provider details.
Qualifications & Experience
Preferably hold tertiary qualifications in social work, community development or another relevant field.
- Demonstrated, well developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capacity to work independently, as part of a team and with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working within the social support sector and knowledge of local community infrastructure and networks.
- Understanding of client confidentiality and information privacy principles.
- Well-developed computer skills with the ability to operate in a Mac environment.
- Must hold a current driver’s licence.
- Must hold a current Ochre Card (working with children clearance).
- Must receive a favourable Police Security Clearance lodged by SupportLink upon commencement.
