About TADWA

TADWA is a passionate and innovative not for profit organisation that provides assessment and delivery of home modifications, assistive technology and customisation services to help older people and people with disabilities to do what is important to them. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service across a diverse portfolio of domestic trades, technology, recreation and mechatronics projects.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Communications Officer to design, develop and place creative communications materials that will inform, educate and excite internal and external stakeholders. Leveraging the domain expertise of Business Unit Managers, the Communications Officer will produce, edit and share engaging, original content that drives creative brand storytelling across multiple digital and print platforms.

Central to this role is the end-to-end creation and development of well produced human interest stories, in addition to the creation and development of inclusive social media and print campaigns.

Importantly, the Communications Officer will be the ‘brand custodian’, ensuring that all internal and external materials conform with style standards and correctly portray the TADWA persona to the intended audiences.

Main activities in this role will include:

  • Produce and contribute to the creation of content for both digital and print mediums;
  • Creation, implementation and management of targeted campaigns for digital and print marketing;
  • Create unique content for Social Media, TADWA websites, newsletters and other marketing materials;
  • Scheduling of content across social media platforms;
  • Plan, write and edit educational resources such as fact sheets, flyers, web content and video scripts.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the TADWA websites and all materials to ensure currency, relevance, completeness and ‘freshness’

Skills and experience

The successful applicant is:

  • Motivated, demonstrates initiative and has a positive, can-do attitude;
  • Highly creative, with a flair for visual design and storytelling;
  • Well organised, and has the ability to coordinate multiple activities and deliver to tight deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment to achieve team goals;
  • A people person with strong influencing skills, and has the ability to achieve outcomes without direct reporting relationships;
  • Competent in the use of design and video software such e.g. LucidPress / InDesign / Premiere / Final Cut Pro

What’s in it for you?

  • Opportunities to get involved in positive human interest stories;
  • Employee recognition program;
  • Full time position, immediate start;
  • Generous salary packaging available;
  • Flexible work arrangements.
