Our client, The Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) is a collaboration of Australian and New Zealand investors focusing on the impact that climate change has on the financial value of investments.
The IGCC represents investors with total funds under management of over $2 trillion in Australia and New Zealand and $20 trillion around the world. The IGCC aims to encourage government policies and investment practices that address the risks and opportunities of climate change, for the ultimate benefit of superannuants and unit holders. The IGCC’s mission is to “catalyse investor action on climate change to avoid dangerous global warming, responsibly manage long term risks and drive sustainable returns for investors and the beneficiaries they represent”.
This newly created role of Investor Practice Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the IGCC General Manager in implementing IGCC investor initiatives, programs and projects. It will also involve stakeholder engagement, including with IGCC members, consultants and other key stakeholders. The role will also be responsible for supporting IGCC’s members to better integrate climate risks and opportunities into their investment processes and decision-making.

As a self-starter with a proven track record of supporting engagement/investor projects. You have a strong desire to work in a mission-driven and not-for-profit environment. You will have at least five years’ experience in responsible investment, finance, ideally with a focus on climate or environmental matters.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract with scope for ongoing renewal. You will have an opportunity to assist realising The IGCC’s vision to have a climate-resilient net zero emissions economy by 2050. You will be presented with a unique prospect to cause changes in investors behaviour to have large scale impacts through addressing international issues.
