The role of Community Development Officer (Recovery) is to develop and deliver a range of community development programs and projects and build networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and the community to achieve sustainable community outcomes.
This project position is funded through the Community Recovery package funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA). The funding is administered by the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Seniors with funding available to support the position until 30 June 2021. Using a community development framework this project position will develop the capacity of the community to recover following the impact of the unprecedented January/February 2019 monsoon and build community resilience to manage any future disaster events.
