We are located on the Central Coast in the Dooralong Valley and offer support to people experiencing problematic alcohol and other drugs use.Our service provides:

  • Comprehensive assessment, individualised treatment/recovery plans and case management
  • Holistic treatment service that focus on physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing, individualised 1-1 sessions, facilitated groups and living skills training
  • Active referral to a range of primary health and community services

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive AOD Case Workers to provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures
  • Facilitation of program material in a group setting
  • Assess and mitigate client and program risk in accordance with TSA policy and procedures
  • Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services
  • Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for clients

This is a permanent full time position.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 4.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management, Mental Health)
  • Completed 4 AOD Skill Set Units (or willing to undertake/complete during employment)
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques
  • Comply with The Salvation Army Organisational Code of Conduct which includes an alcohol, gambling and drug free workplace
  • First aid certificate
  • Ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes
  • Ability to develop and tailor programs to meet client's needs
  • Seeks new ideas, embraces new opportunities and adapts to change
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence
  • At least two years' experience in recovery, if applicable
  • A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
