Based at our Red Hill Site in Brisbane, we are seeking a Logistics Transport Supervisor leading the Transport and Distribution team of numerous drivers and several vehicles.

The role is a Managerial role as well as a hand-on position. Your will perform responsibilities such as;

  • Lead and organise transport and logistics team everyday to undertake pickup and delivery of all donated goods in accordance with written schedule, following W H&S Manual Handling procedures and other protocols.
  • Monitor team (30 staff) performance and organise staff meeting when applicable
  •  Maintain the continuous communication with external and internal stakeholders including customers/donors and develop the high level of customer service internally and externally.
  • Ensure the workplace safe and caring to the high standards of The Salvation Army.
  • Demonstrate a supportive approach to other departments and stores as well as other staff members which contributes to the overall Salvos Stores team effectiveness.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid Driver's Licence , truck or car license
  • Previous Experience in a similar role of Transport and Distribution Supervision
  • An understanding, empathy and appreciation of others with the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
  • W H &S - knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these day to day
