The role you could play

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Team Member! You will perform daily warehouse duties such maintain stock control - cycle counts, damage control and consolidation, load and unload trucks - including Quality Checks, picking and packing goods for dispatch and confirm and dispatch dockets on WMS system. The role would also entail collecting donations throughout the year (MR Truck) as well as processing of incoming material aid into warehouse management system.

Duties

  • Strict adherence to Work Health & Safety guidelines at TSA and partner organisation sites. Attend any Work Health and Safety related training as required by your manager.
  • Safely transport donations, adhering to all road laws and regulations and daily inspection of warehouse vehicles which are to be maintained and documented.
  • Monitor & escalate any health and safety concerns as well as ensure vehicle maintained to be clean and safe; escalate any issues to supervisor immediately.
  • Take immediate and appropriate action in the event of an emergency or in any circumstances that could endanger the life or wellbeing of any person.
  • Use inventory systems to organise stock control and assess and monitor Optimum Stock Levels
  • Load/unload vehicles and MR truck driving to collect and drop off material aid.
  • Processing of material aid into WMS daily
  • Represent The Salvation Army professionally in all interactions, internally and externally and escalate offers of donation or issues to manager immediately.
  • Take all due care and responsibility to ensure good stewardship of good while adhering to all of TSA Code of Conduct, compliance, and regulations.

This is a permanent full-time position, based in Brunswick, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 2.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Past warehouse experience
  • A current forklift licence
  • A current Victorian MR truck drivers licence (or willingness to undertake)
  • Workplace First Aid Certificate would be highly regarded
  • A national police record check is required
  • Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and internal Salvation Army training modules are completed and up to date.
  • VIC Working With Children Check
