About Woodport Retirement Village

Woodport Retirement Village located on the beautiful Central Coast is a 169 bed aged care centre and 64 independent living units, that is proudly operated by The Salvation Army Aged Care Plus. We have an uncompromising commitment to deliver person-centred care which meets the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of each person in our care.

About the role

We are seeking a person with great attention to detail, who is willing to ensure homely and loving environments by providing care with compassion, integrity and dignity.

We expect you to have extensive experience in leading a team within aged care and proven depth of understanding of the aged care regulatory requirements. You should have strong and proven skills in ACFI maximisation to support our resident care needs.

Candidates must have unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse and preferably additional post-graduate qualifications in a clinical field such as gerontology. Personal resilience and an ability to adapt to the daily dynamic needs of our residents and their family/carers are crucial personal attributes for success as a Care Manager.

As a talented communicator with broad managerial competency you will be also able to represent the Salvation Army Aged Care Plus in all contexts, and with sensitivity to the needs of all people.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • An understanding, empathy, appreciation and the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Registered Nurse with current unrestricted registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency
  • Demonstrated significant evidence relevant post graduate and administrative management experience in the health care sector
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the care needs of the older person
  • Understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement
  • An understanding of and demonstrated experience with Aged Care Accreditation and relevant Aged Care Legislation
  • An understanding of and demonstrated experience with Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI)
  • Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated well developed computer and documentation skills
