The Australia Institute is one of Australia’s leading independent think-tanks. We produce high-quality, timely research designed to have impact across a broad range of economic, social, accountability & integrity and environmental issues.
The Anne Kantor Fellowship program provides a unique opportunity to gain on-the-job training with research or advocacy-based non-government organisations in Australia.
Fellows will develop a broad understanding of how research or advocacy-based non-government organisations work, learn how to turn ideas into impact and how public policy actually gets made in Australia.
In 2023, two Fellowships will be with the Australia Institute undertaking research and advocacy work in our Canberra office.
A third Fellowship will be delivered in partnership with a climate change law firm located in Sydney.
Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
To apply for the Legal Fellowship you will have completed a tertiary legal qualification and have either completed or be in the process of completing a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (or equivalent).
All applicants must have the right to live and work in Australia and be available to commence work by February 2023.
