Youth Jobs Now (YJN!), a service of The Bridge Employment, is seeking two people to join the YJN! Team in Springvale.

As the Employment Coach, you will be part of a team that works together with the participants, and will focus on building their skills, confidence and readiness to enter employment through targeted and tailored activities. Every day will be different but day to day you will be:

• Working with participants to help identify employment goals to develop their work plan and support them to achieve their goals;
• Delivering Employability and training workshops to increase job readiness;
• Job matching, cold calling and reverse marketing participants to employers to obtain work placements;
• Supporting people in their work placements to ensure a successful outcome and transition to an employment opportunity.

About You

You are passionate about helping people with disabilities transition into employment and enjoy developing people's skills to become work ready. You are innovative in delivering supports to ensure positive employment outcomes for participants.

In addition, you also possess:

• A solid understanding of the local labour market as well as the barriers faced by disadvantaged people;
• Proven ability to work with Employers to obtain sustainable employment placements;
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to be responsive
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• The ability to work cooperatively with your team as well as the ability to work unsupervised.
• Proficient skills in using technology and systems including an ability to run virtual sessions via Teams and Zoom
• A current Victorian Drivers Licence and the willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes
