The Royal Women’s Hospital is Australia’s oldest and most distinguished tertiary hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of women and newborns, offering specialised services within maternity, neonatal and women’s health. Our goal is to be the best place to work, learn and contribute, and to provide exceptional experiences for our patients and consumers.
The Women’s Public Fertility Service (PFS) is Australia’s first fully public fertility service designed to provide comprehensive person-centred fertility care to eligible patients. We offer high-quality, value-based care that is inclusive and culturally safe and improves access to fertility services for those who are currently under-serviced by the private sector. This includes single people, Aboriginal Victorians, LGBTIQ+ Victorians, people with a disability, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people from regional/rural communities and people living on low incomes.
As a Fertility Counsellor you will provide counselling to individuals and couples who are undertaking fertility treatment at the Women’s. Counselling services will include pre-treatment counselling for diverse forms of assisted reproductive treatments, supportive and therapeutic counselling during and after treatment, assistance with fertility and reproductive treatment decision making, stress management, relationship counselling and grief and loss counselling.
