Tradeswomen Australia Group (TWAG) aims to address gender inequality by encouraging women to consider trades careers, and to specifically place at least 150 women - over a period of 18 months - into trades apprenticeships in the Tradeswomen CareersPlus project funded by Apprenticeships Victoria. This is another step towards gender equality, increased workplace diversity and productivity, and safe and rewarding careers for women.
The Apprenticeship Engagement Officer provides community outreach and career information to women and girls to prepare them for a trade careers pathway, with a focus on placing women into employment.
You’ll connect with community organisations, educational organisations, and women in the community to help make women aware of the benefits and opportunities of trades careers, and to support them into apprenticeship opportunities within TWAG’s network of employers.
TWAG already has many community connections: you’ll be building on a network of great relationships across diverse areas of the Victorian community. Working as part of the overall TWAG team, you’ll be making a real difference as part of a dedicated, focused, energetic, and friendly team.
