Bring your passion for fundraising for scientific research to address the issues of climate change, sustainability and marine science.
Reporting to the Development Director (UNSW Medicine and UNSW Science) and based within UNSW Science, you will implement strategies to achieve significant philanthropic revenue targets for the Sydney Institute of Marine Science and will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects. The focus is on cultivating and soliciting major gifts in support of key research programs including:
The Sydney Institute of Marine Science (SIMS) is a partnership between Macquarie University, the University of NSW, the University of Sydney and the University of Technology, Sydney. The partnership is enhanced by collaborations with several state and federal government departments, the Australian Museum and the University of Wollongong. SIMS has over 100 scientists and graduate students associated with the Institute, representing a broad diversity of skills in marine science. SIMS is a unique focal point for collaborative marine research and innovation, provision of marine research for policy makers and managers, and research training and teaching in the marine sciences.
You are a successful major donor fundraising professional with demonstrated experience developing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, creating compelling case for support and exceptional donor stewardship, who would benefit from the significant operational support and ongoing learning and development opportunities offered by the UNSW philanthropy team.
