We are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are looking for a passionate and self-challenged Research Data Manager to join the Sydney Neuroimmunology team as part of the Children’s Hospital based at Westmead Campus, although you would be required to travel across Camperdown Campuses.
Under the broad direction of Associate Professor Fabienne Brilot-Turville you will be the professional support person responsible for the development and implementation of a clinical research database for the Sydney Neuroimmunology team. The purpose of the position is to design and coordinate the collection, storage, management and distribution of clinical research data across the Sydney Neuroimmunology research sites.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience working with multiple and complex group of stakeholders with exemplary communication skills. They will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgment. They will also be willing to travel across campuses and work on competing deadlines to achieve the required outcome.
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney. There is a strong presence in the hospital of Clinical Academics who are international leaders in education (undergraduate, postgraduate, professional), clinical service and research.
The CHW Clinical School also looks after the academic needs of over 300 members of the Discipline of Child and Adolescent Health with conjoint and clinical academic appointments. The CHW Clinical School provides teaching on site for over 400 medical students per year – including elective students, and MD students. In addition there are currently 100 postgraduate students all performing research relevant to Paediatrics and Child Health.

Sydney Neuroimmunology is a joint initiative of the University of Sydney’s Brain and Mind Centre, Sydney Local Health District, Western Sydney Local Health District, The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, Northern Sydney Local Health District and Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District. The team are at the forefront of research into diseases affecting the brain and mind that are associated with an immune dysfunction, so-called, neuroimmunological disorders. The role will be employed by the University of Sydney and work under the direction of Associate Professor Fabienne Brilot-Turville and will be responsible for supporting the broader Sydney Neuroimmunology team with their clinical research data management needs.
