About LAC Partners in the Community (PITC)

Uniting is a partner of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), delivering the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) in the local communities of the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith.

Uniting LAC support people aged 7-65 who have NDIS plans and are eligible for the scheme, as well as connect people, who are not eligible for the scheme, to services and supports in their local community.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Specialist Service team, you will develop, facilitate and influence the delivery of program wide initiatives that will support the learning and capability of all LAC staff to perform their roles to a high standard and meet Uniting and NDIA requirements.

Travelling across the region, your role as Workplace Learning Coordinator, is to prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document training activities to ensure that all staff have the confidence, skills and knowledge to successfully deliver LAC Services. You will assist the Senior Workplace Learning Coordinator to delivering outcomes and meet the requirements of the NDIA contractual agreement along with the Uniting and LAC Services strategic and operational plans.

Are you the Person we are looking for?

You will have demonstrated experience in delivering training to staff through various mediums including face to face, online and 1:1 training and the ability to identify training gaps and incorporate lessons learnt, feedback and review into the continuous improvement of work practices.

We are looking for people with Training and Assessment qualifications, who have lived experience, or awareness of the impact of existing or acquired disability upon individuals, families, carers and the community. Qualifications in allied health, disability services, education, human services, community development or social work, and experience in local government or other customer facing environments that support or provide services to the community will be highly regarded.
