The Student Wellbeing team is in a period of exciting transformation in order to align with the University’s strategic plan, developed to deliver an outstanding student experience. In light of this, we are seeking an experienced Student Liaison Officer who will be responsible for providing wellbeing guidance and linkages to students, staff, ex-students, ex-staff, and visitors affected by sexual misconduct and domestic violence to ensure the effective and timely provision of support. This will include a wide range of approaches and interventions including assessment, advice and information, health promotion and campus wide behavioural education programs.
The Student Liaison Officer is responsible for assessing students' needs in line with current legislation, stepped care and the promotion of student wellbeing and success. Liaison with university and external staff (e.g. health, mental health and other statutory or voluntary sector agencies) will also be required to ensure access to available support for students with complex wellbeing needs.
Under the direction of the Manager, Safer Communities, you will assist with the delivery of campus safety programs, modern slavery awareness modules, sexual assault and harassment policy development and implementation and the coordination of online and in person training and outreach. In collaboration with the Incident Manager and Critical Incident Liaison Officer, you will also assist in supporting students affected by critical incidents, as well assisting with provision of case management to individual students who require complex support.
