The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of it’s kind in Australia. The Chirnside Park office of VACCA delivers a range of out of home care services as well as family support services to Aboriginal children and families in the East region.
The Foster Care program is part of VACCA’s out of home care services at Chirnside Park in the East region. Children and young people in foster care range from 0-18 years. They can be in voluntary and statutory placements with appropriately screened, trained, and assessed foster carers.
The case manager works alongside the foster care family to deliver care planning for the child/ren in care, that they remain safe and well cared for. Case managers ensure that Foster Carers receive high level support and guidance and that their views are heard within the program and in the planning for our clients.
VACCA aims to reunify children back to families where possible.
