About the role

The role focuses on strengthening staff capability, enhancing practice, and promoting cultural understanding within VACCA and the broader sector. Collaborating with the Manager, the role involves developing and delivering culturally informed, practice-based training to support VACCA’s Residential Care initiatives.  

About You

The role involves developing implementation and project plans, including scoping and resource allocation, to address practice area needs. It requires building relationships with internal stakeholders to design and deliver training that enhances staff capacity in residential care. Responsibilities include creating culturally relevant training content, providing strategic advice, and ensuring training meets quality standards. The position also includes evaluating and reviewing training effectiveness, promoting VACCA's training programs, and working with stakeholders to ensure compliance. Additionally, it involves coordinating with internal and external trainers and supporting the Learning and Development team.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
