About the role:

Part of the Strategic Communications directorate, the Design team is looking for a creative and highly motivated designer to join their small supportive team.

Working directly with stakeholders, you will be creating collateral such as infographics, publications, flyers, posters and fact sheets. These projects are then repurposed into social media and related digital communications, where knowledge of responsive and social media design and a handle on HTML and CSS will be required.

This is a part time position and will require the successful candidate to work four (4) days per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a designer with all round skills in designing for print and digital mediums and experience with social media channels.

About you:

You will be degree qualified with experience in all facets of print and digital design along with skills in creating and implementing branding guidelines for a large organisation. To complement your design skills you will possess an understanding of responsive and social media design. You will have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, Acrobat), Microsoft suite (Powerpoint and Word in particular) along with relevant industry software.

You will be super organised with excellent attention to detail. You will be able to work independently, have great people skills and the ability to quickly capture the essence of a brief to see a project through from start to completion. You will be proficient at problem solving with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.

Experience using a digital SLR camera to take photos of staff and events is desirable but not mandatory.
