Victoria Police Legacy (VPL) provides a range of welfare support services to over 1,200 Victoria Police family members who have suffered the loss of a loved one. At VPL, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives and opportunities of police legatees by providing meaningful benefits, services, advocacy and fellowship.
ABOUT THE ROLE
VPL is seeking a creative and tech savvy person for an initial appointment of 2 years, for a newly created part-time Marketing Coordinator position. Reporting to the CEO the Marketing Coordinator will implement strategies to enhance intellectual property, increase brand awareness and supporter engagement with an emphasis on email marketing, social media management, website management and analytics.
Some of your responsibilities include:
- Implementing the marketing and communications plan including content creation, social media, eNews, eDM campaigns, PR activity and asset production.
- Developing, monitoring and optimising VPL’s social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, E-News and Website.
- Develop, analyse and report on key marketing data, insights and analysis to inform decision making.
- Develop and enhance marketing collateral including the VPL Information Booklet, brochures, CARE magazine, annual report etc.
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with Victoria Police Media and other agencies that help promote VPL and increase brand awareness.
- Develop a fundraising program for members, donors, and other supporters.
- Ensure fundraising initiatives are appropriately marketed & results drive increased participation.
- Help develop and implement VPL’s bequest program and workplace giving program
About you
- A relevant vocational or tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated knowledge and experience in the areas of Marketing and Communications.
- Minimum 3 years marketing, brand and communications experience in a professional environment and/or as part of a marketing team, preferably in the community services or not-for-profit sector.
- Experience in donor engagement and fundraising initiatives which increase revenue.
- Proficient in Wordpress, Siteglide, Google Analytics, Marketing Automation tools.
- Technically savvy with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a small team.
