About the role

We are looking for an energetic Optical Dispenser to support our Optometrist to develop a new low vision optometry service. The successful applicant will demonstrate a high level of dispensing knowledge and proactive customer service and administration skills. In this new role, you will:

• Book appointments via phone and in person;
• Manage reception and administration, including billing and receipting
• Manage the POS (EFTPOS, DVA, Health care claims, MAC)
• Support sales and dispensing of complex optical eyewear*
• Provide clinical support to the Optometrist and client service team

*We provide extensive training and support for understanding low vision.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Qualification in Optical Dispensing (preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years dispensing, ideally across both chain and independent Optometry practices and demonstrated experience in dispensing complex scripts.
• Excellent customer service skills, professional telephone manner and verbal communication skills.
