About the Opportunity

As our Optical Dispenser/Assistant, you will provide high level administrative and dispensing support to our Kooyong Low Vision Service. In this role you will also:

• Receive and prepare for sale and/or display goods such as frames and associated products within the Practice;
• Provide a reception function for the clinic;
• Provide information to clients and their carers/family about eye conditions, appropriate to their needs.

About You

As part of the Kooyong Low Vision Service, you should have a qualification in Optical Dispensing. In addition, 5 years dispensing, ideally across both chain and independent Optometry practices and demonstrated experience in dispensing complex scripts is encouraged. You will also have:

• Demonstrated experience in fitting and repairs across a broad range of lenses and frames;
• Demonstrated experience working closely with health professionals to support the treatment and consultation with clients/patients;
• Prior experience with Optomate or similar systems.
