Partnering with Drug Court Ballarat, Reid’s Guest House has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work across two multidisciplinary teams to support Consumers work towards securing alternate longer-term tenancies, whilst also working to strengthen their connection to community. 

About the opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Team Member for an exciting newly developed position in a changing program. Your role will include:

  • Developing, conceptualising and delivering activities that enhance the wellbeing of Consumers focusing on their life and living skills
  • Assisting to identify and access longer term tenancy options for Consumers
  • Liaising with external stakeholders to deliver programmed activities
  • Developing and implementing strategies to maximise Consumer engagement in programmed activities
  • Assisting in the delivery of Tenancy Skills Institute program (Training will be provided if required)

The position may require work outside of regular work hours (9am-5pm).

In addition to base salary plus superannuation, you’ll also receive 17.5% leave loading, and access to the full $15,900 salary packaging benefits. There is also an option for additional purchased leave to increase your annual leave entitlements.

About you

This role will suit a candidate with the following skills and experience:

  • A relevant vocational or tertiary qualification (for example Diploma or bachelor's degree), or equivalent professional experience in related field (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience working with clients with complex needs including multiple presenting needs (including alcohol and other drugs, mental and/or physical illness, psychosocial and behavioural issues)
  • Demonstrated experience developing, running and monitoring group activities
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build, engage and maintain professional working relationships with people with complex needs
  • Demonstrated commitment to social justice which drives persistence and an unconditional positive regard.
