WWHC is a not-for-profit organisation committed to providing an alternative, feminist healthcare service run by women for women, ensuring accessibility without financial and cultural barriers to the women of the Wagga Wagga and Riverina region.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary objective of the Centre Director is to lead the WWHC, working collaboratively with the Management Committee and the Client Services Director, to accomplish the strategic goals of the organisation in aim of optimising the Centre's resources and achieving positive health and wellbeing outcomes for women in the Wagga/Riverina region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITiES

  • Drive strategic outcomes of the WWHC in line with the values of the organisation
  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operational aspects of the WWHC
  • In collaboration with the Clinical Services Director lead, manage and facilitate the development of the Centre staff

  • Provide oversight over financial and administration matters and ensure that the WWHC’s resources are administered in accordance with the appropriate legislation, industrial and legal requirements, and Centre’s values to deliver positive outcomes for women of the Wagga/Riverina region
  • Work in collaboration with the Clinical Services Director around the provision of a quality framework for clinical services taking into account the Centre's values and the strategic directions of the WWHC, and provide input around industrial, financial, and legal requirements
  • In collaboration with the Clinical Services Director establish and maintain a positive work culture and environment that promotes positive wellbeing of all staff that contributes to the delivery of high quality health and wellbeing services to women in the Wagga/Riverina region
  • Promote the strategic agenda of the organisation within the Wagga/Riverina region and work with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure ongoing funding for core programs, and seek other funding opportunities in line with the strategic plan.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Commitment to working in the not-for-profit sector and to addressing gender issues for the women of the Wagga/Riverina region
  • Formal qualifications in human services, business, business management or equivalent area or relevant industry experience
  • Relevant leadership experience within a complex and changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience improving value for organisations
  • Experience working with government and non-government organisations to deliver value for clients
  • Working knowledge of Information Technology, business systems and processes that enhance operations and business outcomes.
