Warrah is a Rudolf Steiner organisation providing a range of engaging, responsive services for children and adults with complex disabilities for more than 50 years. At Warrah, we maximise each person's capacity for self-determination, creativity and contribution. Warrah provides a broad range of services, including Warrah Specialist School, Community Support Services (CSS), Supported Independent Living (SIL), Warrah Biodynamic Farm and Farm Shop.

Our Disability Support staff work across a number of locations within Sydney's North West across CSS and SIL, supporting clients with their social, emotional, physical well-being and development of life skills.

You will be responsible for supporting clients in activities such as shopping, meal planning and cooking, handling money, washing and cleaning, personal care, travel training, attending local community events, interest groups, leisure, exercise, music and gardening.

The following experience, skills and attributes are important to success in this role:

• Previous experience in supporting people with disabilities
• Practical general knowledge of a human rights-based service approach to the individual and community context
• Ability to organise own work, manage time and contribute to work planning
• Effective listening skills and ability to seek, provide and/or share information in an appropriate and respectful manner
• Willingness to work collaboratively as a team
• Physically fit and enjoys participating in physical activities
• Adheres to reporting, documentation and administrative requirements
• Cert III or IV in Disabilities or Aged Care is desirable but not essential
• NDIS Workers clearance and WWCC
• Valid unrestricted driving licence with ability to drive a range of vehicles including cars, vans and 12 seater Hiace
• First Aid Certificate
